Well, for me depends on what day it is.
Where I gotta go.
What I gotta do.
How fast I can't run.
Where I gotta go.
What I gotta do.
How fast I can't run.

Right now it's a Hen & Rooster small stag stockman in the left pocket, a 1940s Boker model 3588 in the right pocket, and a Boker Kalashnikov on the belt.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR EDC?
As you can probly tell from foto #1 the 22087
was my single EDC for a long time. Bought new in 1978.
So I can relate to the one on one scenario.
I think life has been enhanced by having a few more EDCs now.
For one thing, it makes you appreciate old reliable #1 more when
it goes back in the pocket.
Kind of like slipping on your favorite pair of Levis.
SAK Cadet has been real handy a few times when a screwdriver
was needed and tool box was way over there >>>.
Plus at my age need the cap lifter more frequently.
And the nail file edge works great on lottery scratch offs.
As you can see, the cadet is my lightduty day knife.
If in doubt, easy enough to add the Schrade SW7 switchit
to the back pocket.
The Queenie is a 1982 9105, about same size as 22087 but square bolsters
and heavier blades & liners make it feel more HD than 087.
I have a few chores I prefer to use the Q for, where better grip
and finese are important.
The 63032 I found in an antique shop's junque drawer.
Unresharpened w/some pepper and spotting on the CV blades
plus bolster scuffs from the hazardous drawer duty.
A 1998 Chestnut for $15 seemed like a good EDC rotation candidate to me
and a chance to give the 087 a well deserved rest.
A little cleanup & few drops of oil and it now functions as easy as the 087.
In another AAPK thread someone said life is too short to carry a cheap knife.
All mine would fit in the cheap category (except the 6347) but imho form following function, ie utility combined with comfort & familiarity are more important attributes of an EDC than just cost.
Since I never carried a $200+ knife it may just be I don't know what I'm missing.
But that's the same reason I don't go test drive a BMW, Porsche, Acura, Lexus, etc.
Ignorance is (can be) Bliss !

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR EDC?
I used to carry a Case medium stockman, but for the past few months, I've been carrying a full size, natural bone Trapper. Really starting to like the large folders.
Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR EDC?
This is my EDC now, used to be a newer Case Seahorse Whittler.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR EDC?
I've pretty much locked into two EDC knives right now. (I know some of you guys carry multiple knives, don't look at me like I'm weird!)
Front pocket, Strider PT CC. The toughest small knife ever made, with the best warranty of any knifemaker anywhere in the world. This does things knives should not do, and does them happily. The only knife in my collection I won't customize pretty much.
Back pocket, customized single bolster stag GEC #25. Trusty knife, sharp as hell, sheeple friendly. Love me some carbon steel!

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR EDC?
It's tough to pick a favorite carry knife. I'll usually take one of these, favoring the Northfield liner lock and barlow. I like carbon steel carry pieces, but will use SS as well. Now, which pistol....?
Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR EDC?
very sweet knives and I like the pistols
a revolver lover I see
I also carry a gun but nothin that big - usually a 380 or a lil kel tec 32
S&W 40 if the mood strikes me tho
