Ever heard of Hanoi jane ?
Subject: Montana Restaurant
Montana Restaurant
The radio station America FM was doing one of its 'Is Anyone Listening?' bits this morning.
The first question was; 'Ever have a celebrity come up with the ' Do you know who I am? ' routine?'
A woman called in and said that a few years ago, while visiting her cattle rancher uncle in Billings , MT ,
She had occasion to go to dinner at a restaurant that does not take reservations . The wait was about 45 minutes;
Many local ranchers and their wives were waiting.
Ted Turner and his ex-wife Jane Fonda came in the restaurant and wanted a table.
The hostess informed them that they'd have to wait 45 minutes.
Jane Fonda asked the hostess, 'Do you know who I am?'
The hostess answered, 'Yes, but you'll have to wait 45 minutes.'
Then Jane asked if the manager was in. When the manager came out, he asked, 'May I help you?'
'Do you know who we are?' both Ted and Jane asked.
Yes, but these folks have been waiting, and I can't put you ahead of them.'
Then Ted asked to speak to the owner. The owner came out, and Jane again asked, 'Do you know who I am?'
The owner answered, 'Yes, I do.
Do you know who I am?
I am the owner of this restaurant and I am a Vietnam Veteran.
Not only will you not get a table ahead of my friends and neighbors who have been waiting here,
But you also will not be eating in my restaurant tonight or any other night.
Good bye.'
Only in America , is this a great country or what?
To all who received this, this is a true story and the name of the steak house is:
Sir Scott's Oasis Steakhouse

Great story! On a sadder note:
I saw a thing on TV the other day that Ms Fonda(aka K__T with a capital K)is scheduled to play(I STILL CAN'T BELIVE THIS) Nancy Reagan in an upcoming movie!!!!!
There are a lot of words to describe how I reacted to this news but I can't type them on this forum.

Ray, I feel as you do about this insult to all veterans to have Hanoi Jane portray Nancy Reagan in the movie, "The Butler". I for one will not watch it and will never forget what she did to the POW's in Hanoi with her VC friends. She should have stayed in Vietnam. As far as I'm concerned she sided with the enemy.knife7knut wrote:Great story! On a sadder note:

That (explitive deleted) bitch should be forced to pull a train in an STD clinic, then stood up against a wall and shot. That's a fitting end for traitors. The definition of giving aid to the enemy is not limited to food, band-aids, bullets and money.

I was planning on really going off on the bitch. Jerry did just fine though except to mention that the devil is going to have a special place for her and John Kerry. I don't think a bullet should be wasted on her maybe just a slow arterial bleed out from a smiley throat.

"The actual punishments for those convicted of the federal crime of treason have generally been more lenient than the statutory maximums. Those convicted for their part in the Whiskey Rebellion were pardoned by President George Washington. The United States government regarded Confederate activity as a levying of war, but all Confederates were pardoned by presidential amnesty. Max Haupt, convicted for giving aid and comfort to his alien son, was spared death and sentenced to life imprisonment. (His son Herbert was convicted by a military tribunal for his role as saboteur, and executed.) Tomoyo Kawakita, convicted of treason for abusing American prisoners of war, was sentenced to death but had his sentence commuted to life imprisonment by President Dwight D. Eisenhower. By contrast, the Rosenbergs' espionage convictions brought death sentences."

Life imprisonment may have been a more fitting punishment for Hanoi Jane if at the time of the crime, the United States government had the balls to charge her. But that's just living in the past and dwelling on what could have (should have) been.

Outstanding for that restaurant owner!
The Vietnam War was before my time, but I grew up around folks who were there. What Jane Fonda is and did was a disgrace. To have her playing the part of a great patriot's devoted wife is unspeakable.

Cuba is off limits for American citizens too but people go there by going someplace else first, such as Canada or Mexico.
Edit: BTW, it may come as a disappointment to some but the Ted Turner/Jane Fonda story has been around in one form or another since 1996 and before. It's considered an urban legend and has yet to be verified. Considering the main characters, it make you want to believe it though.

I am related to that guy somehow. My grandmother was a HOUP. Anyone with the surname HAUPT/HOUPT/HOUPE/HOUP are related.jerryd6818 wrote:"The actual punishments for those convicted of the federal crime of treason have generally been more lenient than the statutory maximums. I recall the same story a couple decades back but it was a restaurant in Charleston, SC and the person was Barbara Streisand. Just saying. Oh! don't care for either's politics, bye the bye.

Hanoi Jane is in good company, right where she belongs - don't know who wrote the attached vignettes, but they nailed it (and her)! OH

Good for that Vet - Fonda "Hanoi Jane" doesn't even deserve to be in this country, leave alone eat at a Vet's restaurant. She should be tried for treason - shot or at least ex-communicated.

By myself I have sworn,

a word that will not be revoked:
Before me every knee will bow;
by me every tongue will swear.
And Hanoi jane, my dear. . . .. .
This includes your skinny lil knees.. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Ever heard of Hanoi jane ?
She's apologized, sort of, but not quite, multiple times for her actions in North Viet Nam, although she still maintains that going there was not a mistake.
This will give you some idea of how the woman thinks.
She has been quoted as saying, "My biggest regret is that I never got to **** Che Guevara."
Despite anything she says, she is still the same stupid, misguided idiot that sat on an enemy anti-aircraft installation and pretended to shoot down American airmen.
And don't let her convince you she didn't do that. She says they put the helmet on her head and sat her on the gun and photographs were taken.
See below.
The woman is beneath contempt.
