A friction folder

Post by muskrat man »

Here is a friction folder I just finished up from scratch this evening. carbon blade with mirror polished edges, red brass spacer, inbetween red fibre liners which ride on some homebrew jeancarta scales topped off with three yellow brass pins and 4 coats of CA and a high shine. This is my first friction folder and I can promise you it won't be my last! These are a blast to make. I might even add a similar model to my lineup. There were a few design issues with my equipment and the outline of the handles gave me a bit of trouble, so the next on the "ears" on the front won't be as radical.

Thanks Hukk :) yes I like the red with the blue/black. As soon as I can finish up my current commissions (another 3-4 weeks) I hope to crank out a couple more of these, one for my dad who fell in love with this one, only requested his be made with thinner handles for friendlier pocket carry. I have a design made up for a wharnie too. I really like making the backspring-less knives.
