Cargill Custom

Bob Cargill is the man behind the Cripple Creek Knife Brand. He started out making one of a kind custom knives and eventually started making special order runs by hand under the Cripple Creek name in 1981. He specialized in high quality hand made limited runs for clubs and organizations. The brand was later sold to Blackjack Knives of Effingham, IL who commissioned Queen Cutlery to produce them in larger quantities.

That is an awesome knife. Having the patent #makes it a pretty early one. Here's a Cargill bolster lock with out the patent from 1980. I would say yours is 1979 or older. I guess I'm in line behind the rest of the guys if you ever want to part with it.

Due to the fact that this knife makes my entire collection look bad,

and my oldest daughter needs braces this month, this will go on Ebay Thursday night at 8pm Central.
