Kabar 1052

The KA-BAR brand originated as a trademark of the Tidioute Cutlery Company. Tidioute was later taken over & renamed the Union Cutlery Company which continued making the brand until Union eventually adopted it as the company name in 1952. Cutco Corporation later acquired the company in 1996.

Kabar 1052

Post by mhurkes1 »

Cute little 2 blade serpentine stockman (2-3/4" closed 6" open) I cleaned up and gave to my son. A buddy at work who runs a metal detector found it under a couple of inches of dirt around an old building foundation. It was chocked full of dirt and didn't open. A little CLP and elbow grease and the little guy has a new lease on life. ::tu::

Wish I had thought about some before shots, but I truly didn't think it was going to open much less clean up and take a bit of edge. ::dang:: ::dang::

You're right, probably a bit tough on the back spring,   but now it belongs to a "hammer" of a 14 year old boy.
