Customized Schrade 194OT

Here is a knife I finished recently.
It is a Schrade Old Timer 194OT. The knife was new in the box and the bone I put on it was from the Schrade factory. Someone told me they thought it was from the Schrade Walden era, but I am not positive about that. I think it may have been later than the Schrade Walden era. Whenever the bone was made, they did a nice job on it; I think it is gorgeous.

I took the knife apart and polished the knife inside. A task made much easier by the fact I did not have to remove 25 years of crud from the inside!

I installed the bone and hafted it, polished the knife and reassembled it.

Dale, that's really nice! I've got a couple of 194OTs in my pile but they don't look that good. It's amazing what a piece of real bone does for a knife.

The knives I am posting now will make it into my AAPK store if I have time to post them before the OKCA show next week. I am working on about 6 or 8 other knives for the show also. If I don't have time to post them before the show I will post any that come back from the show when I return.
