Help ID this knife maker? MW Knives

I have had this knife on Levine's section on BladeForums for a month and no replies, hope to have some luck here. I acquired this [image][/image]three piece miniature set of knives with ivory fluted handles. The bowie and dagger are approx. 3.25" and the push dagger approx. 1.75" all blades are marked with "MW". Any help identifying the maker would be greatly appreciated and any ideas as to value would be appreciated.

Usually items like that are considered as "tourist trade" items or "curios" but I have to say that the set is super cool so keep your fingers crossed that someone here knows exactly what they are, and who made them.

Can you post a picture of them in the box as a set?

Ken, Miniatures are a specialty by a number of custom knife makers. You can often find these on the sites of custom knife purveyors at significant prices. Last time I looked there were quite a few at Nordic knives and AG Russell often has some.

Here they are as set in wood box. I have bought and sold thousands of knives but never messed much with miniatures and I am not familiar with the maker. Who ever made them is definitely familiar with making knives.

Odd that no one knows here or at BF. The world of custom makers of knife miniatures is not that big and a collector of miniatures would know of most of them. As o.p. has stated "MW" is an accomplished knife maker so more examples of his work must exist.
Could this be from China ? They do a remarkably fine job of making all kinds of knives including 'antiques'.

I found one master smith named Michael Williams. But his web site gives no indication of him doing miniatures. Full size, beautiful knives that have won many awards at major knife shows. He is out of OK. His initials do remind me of a western style brand which would fit with OK. But I think only the initials are the same.
