Knife age pics included

The Remington Corporation and the knives that they built have influenced the U.S. cutlery industry more than nearly any other manufacturer. From the time America was settled, to the end of WWI, American knife companies struggled to compete with Britain and German imports, but events that occurred during and after the First World War led to a great change in this phenomenon. Unprecedented opportunities arose, and Remington stepped up to seize the moment. In the process, they created some of today's most prized collectables. In an ironic twist, the next World War played the greatest role in ending the company’s domination of the industry.

Need a closer pic of the tang stamp. Also ,does it have a pattern #.I can see it says Remington, but it kind of looks like a Kutmaster.

I don't recall seeing a spey blade shaped like that on any Remington. I agree it looks like a Kutmaster (Utica).

Could it be a vintage R3053 maybe with some blade wear or reshaping?

It's not a Remington. Remington never used that shield, wrong spay blade, new tang stamps, wrong bone.
Not a Remington. I don't know who the seller is on eBay but they are selling a bunch of them. Mostly Remington and Case cobbled knives is what ive noticed.

Here is the eBay listing for this knife. This and many others don't look very good.

The seller always seems to have some questionable knives.
