R3243

The Remington Corporation and the knives that they built have influenced the U.S. cutlery industry more than nearly any other manufacturer. From the time America was settled, to the end of WWI, American knife companies struggled to compete with Britain and German imports, but events that occurred during and after the First World War led to a great change in this phenomenon. Unprecedented opportunities arose, and Remington stepped up to seize the moment. In the process, they created some of today's most prized collectables. In an ironic twist, the next World War played the greatest role in ending the company’s domination of the industry.

My Remington book is buried somewhere in the garage. If someone has a copy and could post a pic of a R3243 from it, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you very much! Our movers mislabeled boxes, and we are very short on space in our rental, so most everything is in the garage for awhile.
Here is a pic of the new house...got a ways to go.

Brad, that's a great knife you have in good condition. The blade configuration is the same as the one I have.

I haven't done much of anything lately. I moved so I've been out of the game for a little bit.

Cleaned up some, oiled the hinges.
Nice and tight, good snap, main blade etch.
The back scale is dark at the nail nick.

Haven’t found any prior sales for pricing reference.

Brad that is truly one beautiful knife. In my book there is nothing like an original Remington production knife.Even better when you still have the trademark etching visible on the blade.Really nice score sir, very nice! ::tu:: ::groove::
