Posting in the knife sales forum

Post by YuriRealman »

I recently became a supporting member but cannot yet post topics in the sales forum. Am I missing a step or three? Thanks for any help ...

Have you tried logging off and logging back on again. The only thing I can think of at the moment.

Are you certain you're following the right steps?

1. Sign/Log in.
2. Place your cursor on "Discuss" at the top of the page.
3. Scroll straight down to "Knife Commerce".
4. Slide your cursor straight to your right and go up to "Knives for Sale or Trade".
5. Click on that.
6. Click the box on the top left that says "New Topic".

From there you type in the title, and then in the large box you type in the description, add your photos, then click on the "Submit" box.

FYI: After you're done adding photos, click on the "Preview" box first. Read it and make sure it's what you want, if it's good, click "Submit" and wait for the PM's to start coming in. ::nod::

And there is a small "edit" icon that looks like a writing pen in your post. This allows you to make changes after the fact. For instance, you can add "SOLD."

Is the "new topic" button supposed to be where it is in other forums? I made this thread ...

Yuri - you only have 12 posts. I think there are some restrictions on newbie or probationary users. Make a few more posts and see if things change after 25 or so posts. I realize that you are a supporting member so those restrictions should not apply to you: but I kind of think that you are unique in becoming a supporting member with so few posts. Maybe the procedures do not take that into account.

That makes a lot of sense.

Can we assume you tried this and it didn't work?

Click on that link that Mel sent you and contact Bryan. I'm sure he can get this fixed for you. Bryan is a one man army so give him a few days after you contact him. And in the meantime try logging off and back on like Rick said.
