SIX BLADE CONGRESS
Just received this MOP six blade Congress: 3 springs, no blade rub. Seems to me that someone made this with extra care and attention.
Made in 1998.

That's a dandy QS. There's not much room for error with that many blades in that tight of quarters.

Re: SIX BLADE CONGRESS
Thank you Joe and Phil. I don't know how they did it, but the blades open and close without discernible contact. All blades have half stops. Everything tight and snappy. Opening maybe a six or seven. If GEC did this I suspect I'd need a winch to open some of the blades.
But I'd settle for a wench.

Beautiful colors on that knife and the fit & finish look really good. And to top it off they all have half-stops. Very nice Sir.

Re: SIX BLADE CONGRESS
Thank you all for the nice comments. Glad you like it. Subject to change with more experience of the brand, my current opinion is that the BDs made in the later generations [late 90s into the 2000s] have quality far above that of the earlier years. The melding/hafting of the covers with the bolsters is flawless.

I better fess up. My previous post was erroneous. I have found earlier generation BDs with quality not to be quibbled with. Experience is a great teacher.

QS, that pearl is outstanding. Lots of color and sparkle.
