Kriegar KG106 straight razor

Post by mrwatch »

Friday I visited a knife makers shop. He had the Kriegar razor and she offered it to me for $4 off. Do not plan to use it it just looked nice. Now read negative press on one site. Comments? not my picture.

It's a Chinese maker.
As for getting and holding a shaving edge, I've heard they're hit or miss.

It does look nice, though.
I have a Krieger in blue micarta a buddy of mine gave me. While I do have and use 7-8 straight razors, this one is display only.
Take care and God bless,

I only looked at one web site. A couple of men wrote that they couldn't get a good shave or a lasting edge no matter how they tried. Or cut melted butter. That may be the case but some people just don't know how or have the proper stuff to sharpen them. I wish I had the time to ask the man how he polishes his knife creations.
