custom knife stamp??

I had a friend come over this weekend with a custom made knife asking me what it was. It was something that his grandfather had given to him. I explained that there were a pile of custom knife makers out there and I was not sure who made his knife but told him that I would try to find out for him. The young man just completed sniper school and I figured that this would be the least that I could do for him. Please see pictures and let me know if you know who made this knife or maybe a clue to send me down the right path. Thank you for looking.

Can't help with the maker but it is a good looking knife. How come I wasn't invited to the barbeque?

Ha ha. I was standing in the farrowing house when he showed up to ask me about the knife. Little small for a BBQ just yet.

What do you see as the first initial? I think it is an A. If you agree, the only custom maker-AM- listed in Levine's Guide placed his initials within a fish. If you see it as a different letter let me know.

I was originally thinking an "O" but it looks closer to an "A." It almost look like a face inside of the first letter looking at the second letter, but that could just be me staring at it too long also.
