8) Here is another discontinued knife for you viewing pleasure.

It's a Kershaw Knife designed by Steven Seagal. The knife has Sting Ray leather wrapped handles and the fit and finish is top notch. One side of the blade has Steven Seagal in English and the other side in Japanese. All in all a very nice knife. Out of Curiosity I got it off of a fleabay auction years ago for practically nothing. I guess there's not a huge market for knives designed by Big Fat Arrogant Karate Guys! ::facepalm::

It's a neat looking knife, even if I wouldn't walk across the street to see one of his movies.

I saw they were showcasing Mark Harmon's (Gunny Gibbs) ZT last Tuesday on NCIS. Left it sticking in the tabletop front and center for quite a while.

And to me, it comes across on the screen. Plus he's awful as an actor. Almost as bad as Chuck Norris. ::barf::

::rotflol:: I studied Aikijujutsu for many years. As it turns out this art is the father of Seagal's art of preference - Aikido. BUT(!) he doesn't really practice the real Aikido as Aikido is an art of peace. It was created by Morihei Ueshiba (who studied Aikijujutsu) with the intention to remove all techniques that would do harm to the human body. Aikido was and still is meant to respect the human body; to avoiding doing harm to anyone by using redirecting and projecting techniques that would use the attacker(s)' strength and force to one's advantage (the same as with Aikijujutsu but with a twist - as vicious as one feels is needed - at the end of every technique that would end the attackers' chances to return for more, if you will) Aikido is strictly for self-defense only and, thus, no Aikido techniques are meant to do permanent harm. Aikijujutsu on the other hand is an art of war and was designed to end an attack in one move or one continuous move to another as with multiple attackers with projecting, redirecting, bone grinding and so much more type techniques, weapons included.

Just to clear something up, I never liked Seagal's attitude either. In fact, his tacky attitude sickens me. ::barf:: In our school we were very particular as to whom we decided to train based on personalities or attitudes. Someone like Steven Seagal would have never have been allowed to train in our school. Respect and at peace until disturbed was our motto and the group of students that we had were all very kind and caring people. Anyway, you're probably right about his name killing the knife's value. I would have never bought it. :D

Well you don't have to worry about him anymore because he is now a Russian citizen. The knife is nice anyway whatever the name on it.
