Finally a bucketlister found.
Will show again when in functioning condition. Who can afford one of these in a mint state. Take a look and tell me what you think. "Will", eat you heart out over this stag.

Yes sir, that is a find in any condition. Bet you make it better, as Mr Peg said, pictures when finished.
Re: Finally a bucketlister found.
There are only a couple of different knives I'd like to have in my collection that aren't Remington and that is one of them. Very nice.

Re: Finally a bucketlister found.
Thanks to all who commented. Yes I will definitely show it when finished. I am only having it returned to functioning condition. I prefer knives to live out their lives showing their trials and tribulations hence it will only be thoroughly cleaned and work once again. As you can see the slightly rounded edges on the tang it will never walk and talk like new. If my dad were still alive he would say to have the tang hard faced and regrind it like we did the old cultivator plow shears. No, it has earned its wear.

Re: Finally a bucketlister found.
As I requested the only thing done was the blade reinstall. It came out as I wished no more, no less. Excellent in my opinion.

Wow Moss!
The guy who did that knew what he was doing! (It wasn't me).
It looks like it should, and that's the highest compliment to repairman!

Moss - that is a fine looking knife! I can see why it was on your bucket list. Very nice repair job, too! I am kind of surprised that whatever it was that dislocated the blade did not crack the handles, too.
