Tommy that will be a prize for someone. I'm afraid I would have the same problem with it as you are. :D

Tommy, It's shame you are not able to enjoy that beautiful 'Bird.
But, you are not the first to have that issue. At least you are willing to pass it on,
rather than just let it sit and deteriorate.

I hope you don't mind if I repost the pictures I took of the car back in May .....

my dad had a '55 t-bird - it was his all time favorite car. He also had a '59 vette and always said that t-bird was twice the car. Best part of the T-Bird story was he just got out of the service and was supposed to be saving for a wedding ring ... he bought the t-bird and brought it home to show his girlfriend (my eventual mom) and she slammed the door in his face - LOL !!
pffffft that's not a knife ......... now THAT'S a knife !! Crocodile Dundee

It's a beauty all right Tommy but it may be pretty tough to get your asking price right now. Here is another '56 beauty that sold last month for $30,750: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1956- ... erbird-27/. There are a couple of photos below.

Also a graph of tbird sales over the last four years from the Bring a Trailer website (black dots are cars that sold and gray dots are bids that did not meet reserve). It covers all model years but if you go to the graph on the website you can click on each dot and go to the actual listings to find other '56s.

Hang in there... someone is going to meet your price or at least get pretty close.

Tommy no longer posts on AAPK.
I think he got rid of his computer about a year ago.
I haven't talked to him in 6 months, I need to call him. Tommy was one of the good one! ::nod::
