Cool knives for histories sake. I have a few German coins from Hitler's time period. Evil man and a good reminder of what we have (at least for the moment) here.

You've described them correctly. "Fantasy". Both are post-WWII fantasy creations.

I think that was a comment more regarding our current state of freedoms, not a comparison to Hitler.

I should have paid more attention in English class. No I was saying that Hitler was an evil man and that we are blessed of God to experience the freedoms we enjoy. But that there are people here that want to move our country toward socialism and destroy those freedoms. I believe Mr. Trump has our best interest at heart and is doing his best to guard those freedoms in spite of those who would destroy them. Obviously I don't have a future writing editorials. My apology for creating the misunderstanding. ::dang::

But I do have an interest in things historical and appreciate their preservation. Relics of the past are just that and deserve to be preserved and remembered as a part of history.

Here is one of the original German "fantasy" knives made in England. I think they are made in China now. Supposedly a German paratrooper's knife by Carl Eickhorn.

Here is another National Socialist (Nazi), Third Reich, FANTASY, I REPEAT AND EMPHASIZE FANTASY, pocket knife. I really thought I was getting an ALLEN CUTLERY COMPANY pocket knife. Anyway, it is all metal, it has a single blade, a blade tang stamp (swastika), a blade tang etch (MI094 - CHINA) and a blade etch (a swastika and "DRITTES - REICH"). The handle has a swastika stamp and it also has the SS lightning bolts stamp. It measures 3 5/8" closed. It is VERY sharp, it has a great half stop and a WICKED snap. I never thought I would see an ALLEN CUTLERY COMPANY pattern or style pocket knife that was NOT an actual ALLEN CUTLERY COMPANY pocket knife. If this pocket knife did NOT have ANY markings on it at all, I would swear that this was an ALLEN CUTLERY COMPANY pocket knife. WHY WOULD THE CHINESE COPY THIS PARTICULAR PATTERN OR STYLE OF POCKET KNIFE? It did NOT need cleaning. I took some pictures and here it is.

Similar to knife in original post without all the markings, and much thicker and I assume heavier without holding other.

This afternoon, my trip to the post office produced this FANTASY and I EMPHASIZE FANTASY, National Socialist (Nazi) pocket knife. It is an UNBRANDED, three blades, one tang stamp, three different main blade etches, 3 5/8" closed, two springs, all metal, whittler, pattern or style of pocket knife. The main blade front etch says "DRITTES - REICH" (Third Reich). It also has a swastika etch and an Adolf Hitler facsimile signature etch. The main blade front tang stamp is a swastika. The main handle side has, embossed, the SS runes, or double lightning bolts symbol and a swastika, along with ornate designs. The other handle side also has, embossed, the SS runes, or double lightning bolts symbol and a swastika, along with ornate designs. This is my second FANTASY, National Socialist (Nazi) pocket knife, that is this pattern or style and has the exact same blade and handle markings. If I had to guess a country of origin, my guess would be China or Japan. I would NOT consider this pocket knife being made in Pakistan. This pocket knife is in EXCELLENT+ condition. It did NOT need any cleaning at all. I just wiped it off. I took some pictures and here it is.

Hello! I am new here...not really a knife person (sorry)...but I have several pocket knives from family members in the past. I am in the process of listing some on Ebay, but I have one in particular for which I cannot find any information. It has a swastika symbol on it but the only markings it has besides that is U.S.A. stamped on the blade. I tend to think this is not the German Nazi swastika because nobody in my family was a Nazi sympathizer. (Then again, you never know where something really came from or why someone owns it.) I know that the swastika had a more benign meaning before Hitler got a hold of it, but not sure this knife would be that old. Does anyone have any information on this knife? Thanks in advance.

Thank you for posting it here.
Going by the tang stamp, it looks like a COLONIAL made pocket knife.
It was most likely made WITHOUT the swastika.
If the pins on the other handle side are "dimpled", that is another COLONIAL pocket knife trait.
If the pins on the other handle side are NOT "dimpled", that does NOT
necessarily mean the pocket knife wasn't made by COLONIAL either.
But when all is said and done, IT IS DEFINITELY NOT A NATIONAL SOCIALIST SANCTIONED, THIRD REICH ITEM.

Here are some National Socialist (Nazi) FANTASY knives that I found for sale online. I can not stress this enough. These knives are FANTASY knives! Along with the picture or pictures of each knife, I have included the description AND the asking price of each knife. I am NOT the seller. These are NOT my knives. These are NOT my pictures. The descriptions are NOT mine. I am posting these examples for future reference ONLY.
