Electrician Question

Post by cody6268 »

I have a question about the 9229 electrician's knife. Some have the nail nick in the same position as most other brands, with the nick to the right of the indentation in the center of the blade. Others I've noticed have it right at the tip?

What was the date of the change, and were those with it in the traditional position made by Boker USA, or by someone else (usual suspect, Camillus)?

I think the change occurred in the 1980s, when BOKER USA production ended, and they started making them in Solingen.
Somewhere around 1984-86.
