Initials on AAPK header logo?
Re: Initials on AAPK header logo?
His last name was Meeks, Anthony Meeks.
Sorry, brain not working well this morning. We are on the road driving to my folks this place to visit my mom.
Don't worry, I'm not posting and driving, (I should be so talented), we are at a rest stop.
I expect Brian will soon be adding TM near the AAPK header.

I’ll support those ideas. Tom Murphy was certainly a valued contributor here for a long time. I’ve missed him.bestgear wrote:
Second the support I need - This week we lost a very fine forum member, Tom Murphy (tjmurphy) and I propose that the initials "TJM" be added to the AAPK logo. Can I get a second to that motion?
Lastly, earlier in this thread Ferg suggested "That the AAPK logo may fill up in the years to come maybe Bryan and the administrators could come up with something special for all of (known) our deceased forum members". I second that motion and maybe we can get some brainstorming underway in this thread to float some ideas about to address in a way that minimizes any development efforts for Bryan.
As for a way to commemorate deceased members, maybe those initials can be arranged into a sort of oval ring surrounding the rectangular AAPK logo box. But I’m no programmer so whatever Bryan decides to do, I’ll support. I’m sure he’ll do what’s right.

Agreed, maybe a deceased member thread of remembrance.bestgear wrote:I need some help and some support regarding the fine members that have gone before us.
First the help I need - Our logo memorializes the initials of forum members that have gone before us. This thread identifies the names of 5 of the 6 but I don't know who "AM" is - can somebody help me fill in the blanks?
Second the support I need - This week we lost a very fine forum member, Tom Murphy (tjmurphy) and I propose that the initials "TJM" be added to the AAPK logo. Can I get a second to that motion?

Perhaps I should contact Bryan and see if he has time to add TJ's initials around the logo.
I think you are right that perhaps it is time to think of a way to create a lasting memorial that might have more info than just the initials.
If I know Bryan, he probably has an idea or two simmering on a back burner.

Joe - Clear your cache or shutdown your browser, restart and launch AAPK.....you should see "TM" on the far right.FRJ wrote:I'm not seeing the initials.

Re: Initials on AAPK header logo?
What does it take to qualify as a remembered member? Is it longevity on the forum? Is it number of posts? Is it how well the person was liked?
We lost Cutty "Brian Hutto" in June of 2016 (Joined Feb 18, 2012 -- 3032 posts)
We lost DRS "Donald Seawell" in September of 2016 (Joined Jan 31, 20011 -- 646 Posts)
And those are just the ones we know of. Makes me wonder how many others just faded away and there wasn't anyone to notify AAPK when they passed.

Your reading my mind Jerry......nonetheless I sent an image of the new logo in my sympathy card today to TJ's family.......hopefully it will bring a smile to someone in his family.jerryd6818 wrote:What does it take to qualify as a remembered member? Re: Initials on AAPK header logo?
Another easy way is to look down there at the bottom of the page, and find “Delete all board cookies”. Click on that. It will immediately change the header to the current version. You’ll have to log in to AAPK again. Otherwise I didn’t see any changes from where I was previously.bestgear wrote:Joe - Clear your cache or shutdown your browser, restart and launch AAPK.....you should see "TM" on the far right.FRJ wrote:I'm not seeing the initials.
