Greetings from North Central Texas
Greetings from North Central Texas
I joined AAPK back in November 2016, but hadn't really gotten involved until recently. I upgraded my membership and decided to become more active.
I retired from the Navy in 1997 after 26 1/2 years and then from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport DPS in 2016. I have been collecting pocket and fixed blade knives now for about 10 years. My collection is now over 400 knives from a Civil War era prunning knife to a modern day railroad spike blade and everything in between. I have writen an unplublished book "Folding Knives, My Beginners Guide For Amateur Collectors." Also I have a website https://www.davidsblades.com and a Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/davids.blades.3 that I have started. I'm not an expert on knives, their history, how they are made or even how they are maintained, I'm just having fun doing things I like. I'm still an amateur collector that enjoys the hunt for a different knife, a unique knife, that knife that wants to tell me a story. My slogan in my book is "Even an ugly knife has value and a story to tell."
I hope to share and learn from everyone at AAPK and maybe from time to time I can contribute something that will help other collectors.
God Bless and keep collecting.

Welcome David, from another North Central Texas resident. I enjoyed your web site. I can also endorse many of your recommended shopping locations.
