UTICA !!!
Re: UTICA !!!
Here's a nice little Utica jack. 3 1/4" closed. -- 42234 --
In its finest "end of day" covers with black stripes. Why not.
A very well made knife and snappy to go.
Thanks for looking.

Thank you for the nice comments, guys.
Lee, I never told you but that's just painters tape I put on that suit to make it look plaid.
Comes right off.

There's some fine old Utica Stamps being shown here!
Heres a nice Utica here - wee Tank of a thing, I really love everything about this Knife, The Bone is ( imo ) stunning, the shield is cool, those big Bolsters are nearly pushing this knife into a Barlow ( Not Quite I know..but.. ), That lovely Big full Main with a beefy Swage and cool Long pull!

Re: UTICA !!!
You described that knife pretty well Campbellclanman.
I'd like to know the length too and does it have any stamped numbers?

Re: UTICA !!!
Hi Lee, JohnR and FRJ, Thanks for the comments on that Utica!
I must apologise about the delay- been flat stick replacing a Toiler Cistern - drilling out snapped Toilet Bowel Studs in the floor, new everything- etc - not the greatest of jobs to look forward to- all done now though!
Took a while to find the Ol Girl- ok - it is a mere Whisper under 4 inches closed guys, and there are no other pattern numbers etc behind the Tangs etc.

Re: UTICA !!!
Thank you Campbellclanman, for the information. I was kind of surprised to see a number on mine, but what do I know.
The broken studs at the base are a real problem or a rotted floor.
What I hated the most was when the throne had to be removed you practically had to hug the thing to get it out.
Oh, an the cussin' an the swerin', Good Lord forgive me!

That is one great knife and a hard one to find. As most of you know Utica's are one of my favorite makers. Here is a catalog cut of the knife.

Re: UTICA !!!
You did but it was not mine I was selling the knives for the family of a collector. Some I bought but could not afford to buy all the ones I wanted. Glad you still have it.

Bill
Re: UTICA !!!
Nice knife Bill ... handle looks like what is called faux horn celluloid - at least LF&C called it by that name ...
