Very Old English Folder

Post by Unclebob »

Found this old folding knife at the weekend; 4 7/8" long, with a 3 3/4" blade. There are traces of letters/numbers on one side and what looks like a Whale/Fish with initials on the other side of the horn scales. There are no apparent markings on the blade.
The bolsters are integral with the side 'plates' which make up the body of the knife.

Nice. Looks like a sheepsfoot blade which was common for sailors' knives and consistent with the nautical theme engraving. :-)
