Just got this guy all cleaned up. VERY little wear, almost unused. Just sat around some place for most of its life.
I found it at a junk shop last weekend.

Well.... this one sorta found me..... Maybe y'all can tell me a little more about it.
It's a Craftsman and it has the saw blade. I seem to recall somebody saying it is not a very common Craftsman.

Summer always makes me think of the boys at summer Scout camp and the crews on the trails at Philmont. Today I pulled out my 11 Case Philmont knives to remember the three times I was at Philmont; once as a camper, once on staff in my youth and once as a crew advisor as an adult. If anyone has any other Case Philmont knives, could you kindly share yours that are different? Enjoy and happy summer!

One thing I particularly like about that Camillus Scout is the lack of a bale. I love scout knives but if I'm going to carry one much it needs to be bale free. I just don't like the way it feels in my pocket with that bale pressing against my leg.

Today I received this Camillus 1047 Scout Knife.I have quite a few 1047's, but this is my first 1047 with the federal style shield (that was made by Camillus). Blades are good, the handles are not so good. This is a filler until I find a nicer one.
