Re: Knife Photography
doglegg, we'll have to agree with you on that last one Ivoryman posted, the KeenKutter. That one would feel good in the pocket, it just looks comfortable!

Re: Knife Photography
Thanks guys, appreciate it. Not to dominate, but had a few pics backing up, need posted. 10 year old niece rearranged our kids beach treasure pile onto the stones so I threw down my knife and documented it.

Re: Knife Photography
Not dominating at all Iman. I rather think that you are 'keeping it going'. Great pic, great old knife and it validates your niece her seeing you take pic's of her art work. Good job all the way around.

Ditto what doglegg said.
Re: Knife Photography
We come here to look at pictures Ivoryman, so if ya got 'em.....post 'em! I'll be more than happy to drool all over them! I enjoy viewing your work.
I shot this for the EDC thread but it turned out so good for a "take 'em out of your pocket and sit 'em by a chunk of wood" shot that I thought it qualified for the photography thread.

Re: Knife Photography
Good decision Charlie. The bottom knife seems to be defying gravity. I suppose it is resting on another piece of wood not captured by the light.
Re: Knife Photography
Thanks QS. The KaBar is actually resting on a piece of black velvet and leaning against the driftwood. I keep that piece of black velvet on a small table in my home office to sit knives on. It just so happens that it makes a good background for photos too and I've used it many times. In this case the driftwood, which is a recent find, was sitting on that table along with a couple of knives I had been sharpening so I just moved the other knives, put the ones from my pockets on or by the wood and shot a couple of pics. When I got around to loading the pics on the computer.....they turned out way better than I expected.Quick Steel wrote:Good decision Charlie. The bottom knife seems to be defying gravity. Re: Knife Photography
Charlie, they turned out super!!!
Re: Knife Photography
Thanks guys!
Here again is a shot I took for the EDC thread on that same table early this morning and it turned out pretty cool. I had the sunrise shining in the window for this shot.

Re: Knife Photography
The eye level plus the angle of the knife make for an eye catching shot. Nice.

Berry picking and then some, threw down a couple posers.

Both nice knives, I like the Tryon. Good looking raspberries.

Re: Knife Photography
Iman, I can't if the 3rd photo down [ivory] was taken outdoors or in, but the lighting is so subtle that it provides a very rich, elegant, look. Superb!
Re: Knife Photography
Thanks for the high praise. Almost made me blush. It's indoors, small north facing window in the shop. Subtle is right. No direct sunlight, all toned down.
