Re: Post your carved spoons
Scott, thanks for posting your spoons, always a delight to see them. Thanks.
Re: Post your carved spoons
Very nice Scott nice wood grain and really like the handle.
Re: Post your carved spoons
I made this out of mullberry for my youngest daughters birthday in October. I think she's going to like it. I still have to oil it so that will show the color and grain a little more.
Re: Post your carved spoons
The oil really brought out the beauty of the wood in that one. Erin will be proud. Great job Doug.

They look great, Scott.
Would you be willing to share pics of how you go about carving a spoon, showing the various stages of progression? Sort of a HOW-TO for us know-nots?

The wood is easy, getting unstrangled from the evils of this world, well, that's the hard part.Steve Warden wrote: ↑Sat Dec 14, 2019 8:58 pm Thanks! I think I could do that. Now to just find the right piece of wood and the time.

Re: Post your carved spoons
Wow! That's a beauty Scott! I'm dying to try to carve a spoon but then I never do it. Not sure if I'm lazy or chicken. Or maybe both. A lazy chicken. What kind of wood is that?
