Any information on this knife?

Post by Kase's Kutlery Plus »

I think the blade reads TA VORTRI FFLICH BERLIN FRIEDRICHSTR. 87. Seems to be well made. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Kase

The name is likely that of a merchant in Berlin who ordered a run of knives, not the manufacturer who likely was located in Solingen.
It is an old 'fancy' (pearl handles) German multi-blade. Could be as old as early 1900's. Even if it was in close to mint condition the value is low because few people collect vintage German knives.
