Cool, New Windsor! I got mine yesterday and made a background for it:

Very C@@L BFORSE. You are now heading down a long, slippery slope. These little knives are VERY
addictive. Like I said earlier, check eBay for Boy/Girl Scout mess kit utensil sets. You can sometimes
get the knife, fork, spoon and the carrying pouch/case for less than a knife by itself. I've got links to
three wire jacks for sale on eBay (not being sold by me) a few posts above. They are still for sale.
Prices are high. As you start amassing your wire jacks, post them here so we can check them out.

Will do. The ones without the cap lifter seem to be harder to find

If they were easy to find, it wouldn't be any fun. :D
Also, you could collect these by tang stamp variations. ::dang::

I'm trying. Oh, I literally just bought this one seconds ago.

New Windsor! You must have just about every variation!
Do you already have a display for all those wirejacks? :D

Every variation?!?! NOT EVEN CLOSE! Have you looked at the previous posts?
Start on page 1 and read the posts and l@@k at ALL the pictures. I'm nowhere
near having every variation, pattern or tang stamps.
No, I don't have a display for them. I keep them in a case. I can easily take them out,
"play" with them and return them to the case. Seeeeeee, isn't this FUN! :D ::tu::

I’d really like to get another spear point without the cap lifter; sort of a throw down that I could use in my EDC rotation.

I understand. I want the same style also. That's why I search the internet
almost all day and almost every day. You have to be fast or someone else will get it.
You also have to know that some of these seller's (on eBay & other sites),
don't know what wire jacks are. They list them as just "pocket knife" or
as something else equally vague. You have to look at ALL the knives.
I don't know where you live, but check the thrift shops, pawn shops, flea
markets, garage sales, etc., etc. Put a want ad on this site. You never know.
Keep hunting and eventually you'll find it. ::tu::

Yep. When I have time to kill I search for knife. Ending soonest. Then start scanning the adds as fast as possible. Just getting through an hours worth is a challenge.

I think eBay is on to me though. Now they mix in results that end in a few days. These are sponsored adds. People pay to show up no matter how you filter the results.

I used to get good deals a lot. Not many lately.

I look at ending soonest first, then newly listed and then the rest.
I get mixed results. Bottom line, if I want it and my wallet agrees,
I get it or at least try to get it.

You can search newly listed then click “buy it now” only.

When eBay first opened the search wasn’t as good. You’d have to search common misspellings of what you were looking for.

At one time there were no pictures on the search results you had to click on the listing to see pictures.

Then sometimes someone would list a knife as Grandpas old knife. Click on it and it would be a desirable knife, or not. It was like a treasure hunt.

I could have made a decent living, buying knives with badly worded titles and flipping them with accurate titles so they came up in searches.

I bought this Geo Schrade wire jack a few minutes ago. "Should" receive it between ? and ?
I can't figure out what is going on with the blade guard/spacer. It looks like it's reversed, with
the red on the inside, not the outside. Will figure it out when I get it. I will clean it and re-post
the pictures here.

I've got the fish knife and a Scout set with the ever so elusive spoon. You can look at 20 of these sets and see a different spoon in each one. Is mine original? Who knows. ::shrug::

Got this little Boy Scout mess kit off Etsy. Evidently it belonged to David Hall of troop 112. I always wonder what was the proper spoon or were there various? Appears that someone took the knife to a buffing wheel.

These are the only 2 spoons that I have that came from utensil kits.
The top one says STAINLESS U.S.A. and the bottom one says STAINLESS BY WALLACE.
As far as I know, they are the originals that came with the utensil kits that I have.
But more recently than the ones you guys posted.

Thanks N W NY, the one in mine says 'Deluxe Stainless Taiwan' and then a little symbol and 'the first years'. It is similar in size to yours. But I have seen several with slight differences but about the same size. They all kind of remind me of baby spoons. By the way you are racking up quite a group of wirejacks. Thanks for the pics. ::handshake:: ::handshake::
