I've never really separated it out like that but approximate total Camillus and clones is nigh on to 100. That includes duplicates, spur of the moment cheap junker purchases, etc/etc. My close to factory condition numbers is a much, much smaller number. Let's say probably half or less. I don't have the patience to get specific figures. I no longer have the patience for tedium.

Wow! I have to really keep my eyes open. But, I'll tell you, I've collected many, many different types of items in the past, but I never had this much fun doing it. Thank you so much for all your input. It makes a huge difference to me.jerryd6818 wrote:I've never really separated it out like that but approximate total Camillus and clones is nigh on to 100. Another day, another Camillus 72 variation on the way, to me.
This one is a Remington R14. Pictures are the seller's.
When I receive it, I'll repost it where it belongs.

It is a 6247 KS, a 5 dot with some real nice red bone. Advertised as mint. We'll see. Looks nice, blades look full. I like the thinness of the 2 blade pen.

Nice Bird and Trout. I especially like the jimping on the spine. I'm partial to Moras for fixed blade users (since if I lose or someone using it breaks one, it's only like ten bucks down the drain; and the steel is exceptional), but as of late, I've really gotten into those with leather washer handles. So far, I only have a Boker USA 155, but my list is full of Westerns, and I might as well add that Case to it.steve99f wrote:Fished these one out of the bay this week

Hey NWNY.
I'm sorry if I offended you. The whole post was in fun. I was just joking around. Maybe I did go a bit over the top but didn't mean to knock anyone. Still, it did sting, name calling and all. But I forgive you, not holding any grudge against you. It's not worth getting wound up over, just a fun hobby. I feel there are way more important things in life to get mad about.
See that's a big problem with social media. So easily to get offended and mad over the most trivial things. I know I do. That's why I quit twitter. The stuff people say on there, you would never say to the persons face. To easy to hide behind a screen.
And thank you for taking down that post NWNY. Don't worry about it royal and jerry. No need to fight over the past.
I do want to answer one of your questions to maybe help you understand my situation a little better.
I am 20 years old and have been living for 5 years with Fibromyalgia, ME, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, IBS, severe depression, severe anxiety, and a whole host of other ailments, including Pneumonia twice (just about died in surgery), Bronchitis over 5 times, major surgery on a huge abbess (took over a year to heal), ect. So I try and laugh at my self as much as possible. Hope that clears the air up a bit.
And I do have to say you have been collecting REALLY nice knives.
Willy

Re: It's In The Mail
Ok. I am not above apologizing when I'm wrong. I am apologizing for the way I expressed myself, not for why I said what I said. My "questions" to you were VERY sarcastic, mean spirited and ......... (you can fill that in). I wasn't attacking you (your real name), I was coming after WillyCamaro. Like the mob says, it wasn't personal, it was business. I'm sorry you have the health issues that you have. I wish you no harm and I hope it all works out for you. That post last night just hit a raw nerve, like getting a tooth drilled without novacain. Normally, if and when I get "upset", I take a few deep breaths, count to ten and usually everything is good. Last night, I should've counted to, well, a lot higher. I have posted some crap in the past and luckily I've been able to either delete the post or edit it down to zilch. This morning I removed my comments. I'm on this site because it is a GREAT site, filled with a fantastic bunch of people. I am enjoying the out of it. No group ever gets along on everything or anything all the time. There will be differences in every conversation, it's just how you express your opinion that sets the tone. Like I said at the beginning, I'm sorry for the way I expressed myself, but not why I expressed myself. This is as good as this is going to get, take it or leave it. Now, that being said, I consider this whole episode water under the bridge. Turn back the clock, it never happened. Oh, by the way, and this goes out to EVERYONE, my name is Skip and I'm damned pleased to meet you.WillyCamaro wrote:Hey NWNY.

Re: It's In The Mail
I bought one of those Remington Whittlers at a gunshow probably 18 years ago, used it as an EDC for several years. I saw another variation in a gunshop about ten years ago (NOS) - it had brass bolsters and a Stami-wood type laminate for handles. I should have bought it but the guy was closing out an old Case Knife collection and I spent all my money at the time on those. I've never seen another one of the brass bolster Remingtons since (but I haven't been searching either). OHNew_Windsor_NY wrote:Another day, another Camillus 72 variation on the way, to me.
