This is just an observation and my humble opinion. In today's political climate, due to a wide variety of violent acts that have occurred in the past, recently and probably in the future, do you think it wise to use the word "BOMB" in any context? Phrases like "I got a bomb in the mail" or "I'm expecting a bomb" or " thank you for sending me a bomb", etc., etc., could be misunderstood by anyone not familiar with the way you are using it. I don't know about you, but I don't know who the "guests" are or who is "hidden" on this site at any given time. Wouldn't it just be easier to use the word "GIFT" or "PRESENT" or even "FREEBIE?" I just think it could and would save someone a whole lot of potential headaches and possible legal trouble. I'm NOT paranoid, I'm just cautious and it has served me very well over the years. Again, just my opinion.

No offense intended to your sensibilities but I for one will continue to use the word "bomb" to describe an unexpected gift on AAPK. It's a long term tradition on AAPK and I'm just a traditional kinda guy. Others are certainly welcome to use what ever makes them feel warm and fuzzy.

Two lovely Richards that I didn’t have and a most welcome knife briefcase. ::ds::

I'll just "amen" doglegg's comments and add the initials scratched on the mark side handle and shield of the LF&C make it interesting, wonder who? ::hmm::

Two nicer fellas I don’t know. Kevin (Woodwalker) and Keith (Espn77) I am proud to call you my friends. I am overjoyed that you liked the knives. Woodwalker had mentioned to me that he wanted a LF&C and I had that one in a lunchbox with several other knives so I thought I would send it to him. The KABAR was just an added bonus. My friend Keith is a true cowboy so I thought he might like the Colt I sent him. Roy Rogers was one of my heroes and as the knife says “The King of the Cowboys”. I am proud to call these guys friends.

Another great and generous bomb! Well done, Ed.
The shape of the Colt knife also got my attention. It could almost be a "moose", I like the shape of the secondary but don't know what to call it. What is the closed length? Was that one made in a plain everyday model? ::hmm:: And who made it?

Ed & Kevin, good on the both of ya, gifter and giftee. Those Colts are some fine cutlery.

Philip, if I were asked to guess (and I wasn't asked) I would guess the Colt was made in the same factory by the same folks that make Rough Riders. It's just designed and finished like a Rough Rider. One man's opinion.

I have a Colt or two.

This one left here in a give-away and the last I knew it was living with Old Hunter (the Colonel Bruce)

Here I was watchin' the eastern sky, wonderin' about what was goin' on with the hurricane on the other side of the state and I got bombed from the north! Blindsided if you will!
Our good cyber friend djknife13 surprised me with one of the G-96 knives he came across several weeks ago. The tang says JET-AER CORP on the pile side, the mark side is stamped Japan.
It's a pretty decent knife, the leather sheath is impressive and I already let the thing bite me!
Thanks Dave! ::handshake::
Solid knife. JET-AER CORP stamped on the pile side.

Well look what I got "Bombed" with,

not the cup, but the keychain tool. If you can't read it, it's one of the old slogans, "NAVY, It's not just a job, it's an adventure." Being well aware of my Navy roots, my good friend Scott in Florida bombed me with this little jewel and he added a thumb flashlight.
Thank you very much Scott, much appreciated and a complete surprise.
