That emerson is sweet! I've had my finger on the trigger for one but haven't pulled it yet.
Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

How about some Ganzo Automatics? Do they qualify?

You won't be disappointed owning one. I also have a CQC 15 and a Sheepdog which is my everyday carry. These knives are built rock solid. The only thing keeping me from having a few more is a beautiful stag handle Case.

I'm a Ganzo fan too, especially like the autos. I have a number of the manual knives too! Nice knives for the money and if you loose one your not out much money.jerryd6818 wrote:How about some Ganzo Automatics? Do they qualify?

Re: Post Your Tactical Folders
Not my knife, but belongs to a Deacon from our church. He wanted to see if I could sharpen it for him.
It is a CRKT Desert Cruiser. I noticed right off that the blade sat off-center in the well, scrubbing hard against the liner. Also it felt a little "off" when opening and closing the blade (I don't say 'walk & talk, since it has no backspring - it is a tactical friction folder).
Once I took it apart I found some sticky coffee or cola inside, which had caused enough friction to slowly back out the main screw.
This knife was a joy to take apart and reassemble. There were no annoying springs or bearings to fight back into place - only a couple of thin plastic washers. After some soap & water, drying & oiling, it worked like brand new. I sharpened it freehand with a whetstone, and finished with ceramic stones. This knife has some HARD steel! It took quite a while to get an edge on it, but it shaves now!
I am not really into tactical folders, but this is a pretty great knife!

Re: Post Your Tactical Folders
I do not know why I posted fixed blades in a thread on folders. I must be losing it. Suppose I fixed on the word tactical. So here are some folding tacticals.

Re: Post Your Tactical Folders
The Benchmade is my EDC and the Ontario Knife Company is in my kit bag. The M390 steel is quite hard and difficult to sharpen. The N690 steel is almost as hard and sharpens a bit easier. Both hold an edge very well although my non tactical folder with D2 outcuts them both.
The blade says "COMBAT DEPLOYED" and I received it from a soldier that has been overseas. And the otherside, just 'cause I like the knives. The massive build of the XM-1 is why it did not make it as an EDC, just plain too wide for comfort.
Both folders are stout, but the Ontario XM-1 is built like a pocket prybar and is stronger than my grip. The blade says "COMBAT DEPLOYED" and I received it from a soldier that has been overseas. I've got one of those Ontarios, built like a tank. Cool comparison.

I've been on a Jade G-10 kick lately, most are D2 and Chinese. The ball bearing flippers are amazingly smooth, none are spring assisted. Looking to get a Jade G-10 scale made for my ZT0556 and adding the blue screws. I'll post some pictures when it's finished.
