Remington Whittler
Curious about this one. The bone jigging looks different to me than others of the same era. Not sure about the punch blade as well & the placement of the nail nick on the main blade seems off. On others I've seen, the nick is up higher inside the swedge. Anyone have thoughts on this?

Doesn't look like a Remington knife to me.
If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.

Re: Remington Whittler
Not a vintage Remington, bone jigging not correct , punch blade not correct it's too wide ,and the shield looks to be sitting on the bone not recessed into it.

That bone doesn't look like Remington to me at all- jigging, dye or the shield fitting.
Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

These are pictures of the sellers knife on Ebay. The knife isnt even close to a Remington original knife.kootenay joe wrote: ↑Thu Jun 04, 2020 12:34 am For future posts it is best to take pictures from directly overhead, no angled pictures. This will allow for a more thorough visual inspection.
