Early Utica All Cleaned Up

A wonderful flea mkt. find this tropical south Florida morning; rain and all. The tang stamp dates it to 1910-25 (with help from AAPK). It did need cleaning but no sign of much use. 5 1/4" closed so great 'EDC'. The rough black handles are done in a gnarly stag pattern. just beautifully made for what must have cost a quarter or less back then. Steel threaded bolsters and liners. Blade is full and has a 1/2 stop! Notice where the nail nick is..Not the right place for such a tight back spring. Tight, no wobble walks and talks like the day it was made.

That is one really nice old fish knife!!

Cool old fish knife but I think it is much newer. The early Utica mark had an arched "Utica".
