Keen Kutter Pen
I had posted this in the Old Keen Kutter knives thread and was asked to post it here also. It is a 3 inch MOP pen and has the E. C. Simmons Keen Kutter tang stamp. I found this in one of our local antique stores for $7.

Great find, O.C.

Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

I bet you even without factoring inflation, I bet that knife didn't cost much less than $7 back when it was new. And you know, it looks like a brand new knife. No carbon spotting, and no signs of use, ever.

I was wondering about what the pattern would be called, besides a pen. It is a sleeve board shape and somewhat serpentine, so would it be a "serpentine sleeve board pen"? Is there such a thing?

Sellen's lists a K02463 on page 108 of his book that looks to be identical to this one. He shows it as being produced between 1905 and 1938. Looks like the file has been slightly re-shaped. Nice old knife.
