I feel your pain. 20 days and counting. Even my contact at the local post office (a supervisor) can't get a response from Palatine. ::facepalm::

Gee....I feel better now, mine is only 12 days late. I have a feeling, this is only going to get worse. Knife related, in the past 12 months I have had one item lost, and another that took 19 days travel time. Non knife related, through Amazon, I've had two orders lost and one that was lost then 5 weeks later showed up.

In the last year I've noticed a great decrease in standards with how things are delivered especially with my local carriers. Case in point: I order a non-gluten 1 to 1 replacement for flour that my mother uses. It showed up in the tracking yesterday as out for delivery. It was raining here, and the box would not fit in my mailbox, so the carrier decided they didn't want to get out of the vehicle to bring it to the porch, so now it is still out for delivery today. I guess the motto "Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds" doesn't apply anymore.

Horror stories abound. I had three out for delivery on Wednesday. Carrier rang the doorbell as requested by 15 signs on the front porch (a slight exaggeration to make a point. There's really only two. One on the storm door and one on the mailbox.). There were only two in the mailbox. Had to chase the carrier down to get the third one. "Oh, I missed it laying on the seat." Geez Louise.

I sent a package out on Dec. 3rd and it hasn't showed to moved more than a total of 30 miles in 36 days. I filed a complaint with USPS and this was the responce I received:

Thank you for taking the time to notify us of your experience. Your USPS® Service Request 20603074 has been marked as resolved.

An investigation was conducted into your package inquiry. The package in question is still in transit from New York. Because there is still a high volume of packages going through our system it is taking a little longer for them to make it through our system. Please keep tracking the package and we will be doing the same on our end.

Please accept our sincerest apology for any trouble this may have caused you. We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you again in the future.

Sincerely,

Christine Ramos

Supv Customer Services

Notice they say this has been resolved. Not sure I can agree with that.
If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.

Checked again this morning on a package that was mailed out on the 24th, and finally showed an update...sadly it's not moved and still being processed through the USPS facility. I wonder how many more times it will need to be processed before it departs? ::hmm::

You won't believe this! I got a letter from Canada Customs a few days ago informing me that a package had been seized. They supplied the tracking number, so I went to 17Track.com to see where it came from because I didn't recognize the number. It was for a package I had ordered in MARCH/2019, Customs had it since APRIL/2019, and I just get the Notice of Seizure JANUARY/2021!!! Then, today I get a package from Purolator that contained another Notice of Seizure from Customs, and this one was for an order I placed in JULY/2019, and I get it today JANUARY/2021!!! I can understand Customs being back-logged, but this is RIDICULOUS!!! And here's the kicker, I received both knives from other sellers, MONTHS ago! These guys are making me really nervous! 8)

I put an order in with our own rossr.
He lives about 2 1/2 north of me, up near Tobyhanna in the Poconos of PA; I'm in NJ, just across the river from Philly.
He put the package in the mail on Tuesday.

This particular package is coming from a suburb of Atlanta. Unlike the last package (coincidentally from this same seller), it wasn't stuck at the Atlanta hub for four days. BUT, this time they sent it to St. Paul, MN then to Indianapolis before showing up in Charleston, WV (the regional hub for my area) yesterday. And, it showed up early enough to arrive yesterday. But, it didn't leave Charleston until this morning.

Item shipped the 26th (Tuesday) and should've been here Thursday or Friday. In that same time, I had packages ship AFTER that from Colorado, California, and even Hawaii and show up BEFORE that. Is there something going on at the Atlanta hub?

Cody, don't you just love it when they go walkabout? Makes ya wonder how many people have to step on their crank to make that happen. ::facepalm::
