Re: KNIFE FINDS OF THE DAY
Here is what I managed to find yesterday. They all came from 2 shops that I had not been in for over a year and this was pretty much the best of their selections.
Schrade Old Timer 28OT
A no name camping/utility knife. Poor job on the scales, but I think I can fix them.
Schrade Stockman 80TWE with a scrimshaw eagle.
Camillus camping/utility knife dated 1958.
A souvenir 2 blade penknife from the S.S. United States.
CASE Tiny Toothpick #610098 SS Year 2009

I have warm fuzzy feelings about your Schrade Stockman. I think that is a very nice acquisition.

Good pile, Scott! Looks to be a couple of interesting ones in that bunch! I suppose it was the regular winter "mad house" down there. I haven't been able to go in about a year.

Re: KNIFE FINDS OF THE DAY
This isn't a knife find, but it is related. I was at a job site Friday, and afterwards, I decided to hit an antique mall that I've visited before. There was a few knives, but nothing I couldn't live without. I did find this in one of the booths, but it wasn't for sale, just for displaying for sale items, oh well.
I figured I would be leaving with nothing, and then one of the clerks said there was also a consignment area in the basement. I pawed around in there and came up with this, for a reasonable price. It does need a few replacement drawers, and a couple trim pieces for the face, but it should clean up decent for knife storage. Some of the drawers are already replacements. It's a typesetters case, as I found some letters in there, and some of the drawers were labeled inside for different size points.
I was really tickled to find it, as I never find anything like that, other than machinist tool chests.

Congratulations, that's a real prize! Plenty of patterns for making the needed drawers.
