All About Pocket Knives

Just got this recently. What do you think?

Bret & I went to a Gun show today & we got this Schatt. According to David Clark's catalog books, it is a 1160 pattern. It was made in Gowanda, NY. Schatt & Morgan was only in that location for about 5 years, 1890-1895. It is a real handfull!

I thought I might post several rarely seen Schatts over the next few days starting with this SXM maize knife.

Overall is 7 1/2", the blade is 3".

Interesting old knife.

Here is a 3 5/8" slim pen.

I thought this old thing had some rely nice bone on her minuse the piece broke off so I grabbed it up.

A sterling four blade, however one blade is broken off.

Does that coping blade have a gentle curve on the spline? If so ,what is the function ,other than aesthetic.Does it align in some patterns better?

I am probably not the best person to say what this Wharncliffe blade was designed for. I did fine this site that has some information.

Sorry. I misunderstood. The coping blade spine is straight however.

Great knife .It looks to be a fairly good sized one.

Only 3 1/4" closed.

Must be a trick of the camera,I don't think your hands are that small...Beauty.
