They are an earlier pattern from the Cut Co days. The later Schrade Walden 2OT is identical but with smooth bone scales and no half stops. The knives in the pic with ebony covers are 2202's. The cocobola version was a 2201. Bone covers 2203 and cell covers made it a 2204.
L to R: 2201 - 2202 - 2203 - 2204 Those patterns are all spear blades. If it's got a clip add 3/4 at the end of the pattern number.

The hook is a gaff and the story I’ve read about these is that it was an idea concocted by Uncle Henry and Ted Williams during a fishing trip. They were made in the mid 50s but it wasn’t a success. There were issues about its legality in fresh water plus if you tried to hook anything larger than a sardine you just might lose the fish and your knife. In all I think less than 1000 were made.

I never would have guessed it was a gaff.

Good stuff and great info! Here is something you may find interesting. SCHRADE had an art department and things were done kinda old fashioned way compare to today. They would overlay pages of art in layers to move things around and eventually arrive at the finished product.

I note that the finished flyer is a 1989 publication so that's likely one of the last examples of that style of cut & paste editing. Photoshop 1.0 came out in February 1990 for use on Apple's Macintosh computers. It was less than a thousand bucks when first released.

These were made for Sears by Ulster but the whole thing was a flop. They don't surface too often and I had never seen one before reading an old post from LT that explained what they were - that's what got me started looking for them.

Everything pictured is from the 1930's or 1940's (except for the lapel-pin). I've read this book countless times. The Williams Wabler spoon originally belonged to my grandfather.
