At first look I didn't like how this knife's profile tapers from large to smaller at the butt, but after seeing your pictures, I'm not so sure.....

Do you know if RCB has any plans for a gunstock with a single spear-point blade, Tony, in black of course? Thx!

Stock whited out photos like most sites have don't truly show a knife's character, in my opinion Mark. That is why I take my own, with different angles, etc. I ask Andy about the spear point ... no plans currently. I think your described design would be great!!

Mark, isn't there an old saying ... "A picture is worth a thousand words"?
There are some more new RCB designs coming in the near future, but I do not know yet what style the blades will be.

Never had my hands on a French broad before, double meaning implied. Got mine from Tony today along with a polishing cloth he included, thank you Tony. This is my third Rosecraft Blades knife and I must say it is a brand worth collecting. No idea if the value of these will hold or go up over time, but for the quality and price they are worth your time and money.
This knife is more stout than it looks. The blade stock is pretty thick and so is the spring so it has a surprising amount of tension and snaps very crisply with a bit of a hard pull, but not a thumb breaker. Very nice centering on the blade and a tight run up. I like that it has no brass, that’s a big selling point for me.

Glad you like the French Broad Mark!! Appreciate your review of the knife also. Reviews from members like you, QS, David, and many others, who know more about knives in general than I do, is much appreciated. Thank you again for supporting us!!

So true, Tony, but I don't have a knife like that to post pictures of, that's why I'm looking for one! lol!
I have confidence in them mind you, I have no doubt one of their engineers will eventually have that knife configuration cross his mind, and it's all down-hill from there.

The RoseCraft Blades Tanasi Lake Tear Drop is a one-bladed slip joint that features a 2.8″ D2 spear point blade with heavy swedging, a half stop, a long pull and a brushed satin finish. The covers are Bora Bora Blue Bone, with brushed steel bolsters, steel liners, nickel silver pins, and the stainless steel Rosebud shield. It’s 3.5″ closed, 6.3″ open, and weighs 2.2oz. Designed by Andy Armstrong.

#2- Mosquito Lake Moose RCT016 $63.99 ... This One Is Large Size
The RoseCraft Blades Mosquito Lake Moose is based on a very old traditional Moose pattern. This two-bladed slip joint features a 2.8″ D2 clip point main blade and a 2.8″ spear point blade at the other end, both with heavy swedging, half stops, and brushed satin finishes. The covers are Vintage Moss Brown Bone, with brushed steel bolsters, steel liners, nickel silver pins, and the stainless steel Rosebud shield. It’s 4.1″ closed, 7.3″ open (main blade), and weighs 4.3oz. Based loosely on a very old Tree Brand pattern re-imagined by Andy Armstrong.

I have 3 of the RCB's and they are decent knives for the money,
Comparable to Rough Ryder Reserve, maybe even made in the same factory.

If only Case would hire someone that knew how to make springs.

Thanks to Corn Creek Cutlery's fast shipping I can comment on a brief inspection of the Mosquito Lake Moose. Blades close centered in their wells. Blades are not the advertised 2.8". Both are 3 1/4". Springs feel flush with the back & smooth open and closed. The walk or blade rotation feels smooth with strong snaps into all positions. Springs are stiffer than most slip joints. A shorter clip and swage on the master would have allowd the nail nick to be positioned further from the hinge providing as much leverage as the spear blade nail nick. The clip blade is harder to open than most slip joint blades. However, I'm very happy with the Moose.

Modern, thank you for pointing out the error in my Mosquito Lake listing. It has been corrected to the proper measurement. I had copied and pasted the info from RCB's website, and did not realize it was wrong. I will let them know of the error also. I also appreciate your honest review/feedback on the knife.

Impressive knives, Tony, my first RoseCraft was a smoky-grey Zambezi that I'm very pleased with, but the new model in blue is outstanding also. The perfectly positioned choil makes it a pleasure to handle.
