Well, I'm a little disappointed, got up to see the snow and there was nothing but a fine mist blowing out of the northwest an hour before daylight. The car is covered with ice and the steps and deck are covered with a "bumpy" ice, I guess that was sleet that landed in the freezing rain. But we did get a picture of a fairly rare sight, little icicles hanging off a Florida roof. Now let's get back to Global Warming, enough of this stuff!

Phil, we don't mind snow around here but we hate freezing rain. Sometimes, if you can get your car to go on the road and you can make it stop, while you are just sitting there stopped, your car slowly starts to slide sideways off the road and into the ditch. Then you just get out and walk home, but not on the road because you can't walk on that. We hate that.___Dave

10 degrees here according to the thermometer on the back porch. Weather app on my phone says 9. It don't get much colder than that here. Ever. But it's dry and still.

We hit 12○F this morning, which is the coldest I've seen except for Korea. BRRR.

Up to 18○F. SUPPOSED to hit 28○F. We'll see.

Ten degrees this morning with a smattering of snow from last evening.

The dogs and I did not take our usual early morning walk. They got turned out into the back yard. Didn't take them long to do their jobs.

Looking like we got a MESS headed our way tonight into tomorrow.. 1/4in ice and "The Guessers" are guessing anywhere from 1-8in of snow on top of the ice.. I sure do hope they aint right!! It sure will be a mess!! John

Sooo.. Yesterday was 55 and rain and today I woke up to 2-3in snow!! WT???? I am getting real tired of snow removal!! Yes I am!!! John

I don't know what we got night before last on top of what we already had but I had to break out the snow blower yesterday morning. 1º when I got up this morning but now it's sunny and 12º. When I finally decide to get out and go someplace, I'll have to fire up the snow blower because my friends at the city have plowed the end of my driveway shut. Again.

Rain and temperatures in the 30s - 50s are really working their magic on our snow. Just about all gone. I'm lovin' it as long as it doesn't flood.

stayed 60 degrees overnight and heavy rain and 22 mph. wind. Most all snow will be gone as they are calling for up to 3 inches of rain. hope it washes the road salt off of the roads. Bob

8 degrees (above zero) and 3 inches of new snow here in Sioux Falls overnight. We have had several "nuisance snows" here over the last couple of weeks, not enough to get the snow blower out, but still has to be shoveled from the walks and driveways.

Over eight inches of rain here in the past week. It's raining again now. Sure does make a mess, but at least it's 66 degrees.

Ken, your cows don't look like they have missed any meals. Most all the grass in the Florida Panhandle has greened up and most all the cattlemen are happy!

It's been a beautiful week here with warm sunshine and temps up around 40 after the foot of snow last weekend. This weekend is suppose to give us more snow but hopefully we are done with the cold for this year.____Dave

39 and rain too change too 2-5 inches of snow. Warm Friday so it will all melt off.

We've got trouble coming tonight. A big storm with up to 0.5" of rain per hour is supposed to hit Thursday night. A flash flood warning has been issued for all the burn areas from the Thomas Fire and they are talking about the possibility of another mudslide!
