Those are very cool, Skip. My only "old" Remington is one of those. Mine had two broken blades, so I had mine "repaired". I don't like to do it, but since the tangs were good, I had blades welded on. I just couldn't let this knife go to the trash bin. It had survived too long to be thrown away. I just keep it in my collection with a note stating that it has welded blades in case anyone gets it after I die. It will be with me until then.. I faced a minor dilemma when I found this knife. What to do with it! Choice A, get the secondary blade put back in. Choice B, reduce the knife to a one blade pocket knife. Choice C, leave it the way it is. I went with leave it the way it is. The part of the secondary blade spring that is missing is on the pivot end. I can close the secondary blade stub further than if the spring was not broken. Therefore, no part of the secondary blade stub sticks out to catch on skin or fabric. It also reinforces that part of the liner. Overall, this pocket knife is still in VERY GOOD condition and I am going to love looking at it, carrying it and using it. A very minor cleaning was required. I took some pictures and here it is.

Thanks Jeep. Both blades were broken just above the tangs were snapped off. The pen blade was replaced and the main blade was welded back on by Gary Claxon. He's very good. I can do many things, but welding is above my pay grade! Plus, he had the blades. “Gtrclktr” is guitar collector. Sadly I am far from a session player. I like to say“. The last story the old Case could tell I a long time knife collector/acquaintance of mine recently purchased it for $10 and gifted it to me.
