The scabbard is dated 1940 there is no date on the machete just two broad arrow stamps on one scale. The scales are some sort of peach colored high density plastic. The blade is stamped: Endure Josh Beal & Sons Cast Steel

I'm afraid the general condition is poor but it's a mark I haven't seen before and you can tell she was a real darling once.

So, you think it's a Victorinox Gino? I thought so too, but it clearly reads: VIRGINIA INOX.

Picked up a couple today. Nothin' spectacular...

Bowman U.S.A. sheath knife. 7&5/8ths" overall. Sheath made for back pack, back pocket, boot, etc. Kinda nice.

Gal legs. Yellow cell, Lipic(Camillus brand 1920-40). un-used, spotty.
Goldstone, Brantford Cutlery.(Butler Bros. brand, 1910-1939). Used. decent snap.

A couple more...

Hibbard, Spencer and Bartlett, glitter handle. No cracks. Has typical snap for this pattern of knife.
Schrade pull-ball auto. Pin crack on one side. Still solid. Blade is a little short but will still stay closed. Works great...

Bone handled custom made letter opener(?). Nice little knife. About 6&5/8ths" long. File work on back of blade. Marked "T- BONE"...

Hoffritz, N.Y./ Germany. Nice stag. No cracks. Used very little. 3&1/2"...

The rest...

A Tops U.S.A. H-023, double edge(what I would call a "last resort" knife). The longest cutting edge is 1&1/2" long. Sheath is made to clip on a boot top or a belt up to 2".

Buck, U.S.A. made Alpha Dorado. un-used, with sheath. Sheephorn. Engraved "40 of 100" on back of blade. That's "Fluffy" the watch gator in the background, by the way...

Kind of a fun little bunch of odds and ends, huh?

(I usually do not buy knives with wood handles, but I have a small group of this pattern)
That's great. I've got a soft spot for the large coke bottles.

Some I picked up recently. The oak trapper is my latest EDC. I got one of the trapper sheaths for it too. Cigar whittler and two more trappers.

Nice knives guys! ::tu::

Gino, I love those USA made Smith & Wessons. ::tu:: ::tu::

I found a few nice knives at auction, not 100% on the order of makers from the pictures, would appreciate your guess. I'll verify in the Mail Call post when they arrive. ::ds::

I know the first is Cripple Creek,
then I think Royal Brand & Cattauraugus.
Then it gets iffy with Imperial, Victorinox, Hibbard Spencer Bartlett,
and Colonial, Hammer Brand, Case.
