-22*f this morning.

Got 2 more inches of rain last night, making about 10 inches in the past 9 days. We're having a later than usual spring. The redbuds, wild plums and daffodils are usually in bloom by mid-to-late February but this year the buds are just starting to swell. Pasture grass is still pretty much dormant.

Our friends in the nor'easter are having a rough go it seems, hope things get better soon. We had a dusting and 31deg. This morning should melt off pretty quick, high of 45 and plenty of sunshine.

We got some snow up here in Connecticut. I don't think I got 10 inches.
With my snow blower it cleaned up pretty easy.
The storm is history and we're good to go.

Well lets see I am maybe 60 miles from you Joe - southeast but in the woods as you know - our part of CT was hit pretty bad - indirectly by the wet heavy snow as the tree damage was enormous... and accordingly we just now got our power back since Wednesday evening about 40 hours later (and no power means no heat and no water as we all have wells - I managed to grill a few things yesterday and made coffee outside this morning like a "mountain man" where it was a toasty 25 degrees ... It was 42 degrees in the bedroom this morn ... fireplace kept things at a toasty 54 degrees downstairs and burned a good deal of logs - I think I could have forged a knife in those coals after 36 hours of constant log tossing ... Got to love New England

We got off pretty easy here. Never lost power.

Didn't really want it, got it anyway,rather pretty. Good thing is it don't stay around long this time of year.

yesterday it was 39 degrees so I washed the car. of course it's snowing this morning.

Well we had a pretty good February but March has been not so kind... another blizzard predicted for tonite into tomorrow - and we just got power back a few days ago from the last one just last Wednesday/Thursday... also still dangling limbs etc around town which doesn't bode well for more snow and high winds (40-60 mph) .... while it warms up to above freezing during the day now the night temperatures freeze everything over so it is one continuous loop...

Boy oh Boy! And I've been fussin' when it got down to 28.

Thanks John and Mr. Watch. I wanted to delete that first photo, but it got away from me.

The snow began melting yesterday afternoon but we then went into the 20s at night so it is still hanging around. Left click on the photo for a better view.
