Good Grief! Please accept my apologies. ::facepalm:: In fact I thought your photos were beautiful. It seems that sometimes what is left of my brain gets disconnected from my fingers. Again, I am very sorry.

My phone went crazy yesterday with an emergency alert that there is a flash flood warning being put into effect for the areas near where the Thomas Fire burned due to a rain storm that started this morning. Since the Montecito mudslides, they have been sending these alerts every time rain is forecast. We're not in the affected area, so there's nothing for us to do.

Biggest snowfall ever recorded in Birmingham, Alabama, twenty-one inches, occurred in April.

We're currently under a "Flash Flood Watch". It really hasn't rained that hard where we are, but it is probably raining much harder in the hills above.

Enjoying a rare snow day in Alexandria, hoping for enough to break out the XC skis for the first time in 2 Winters.

AAARRRGGGGHHHH!!! Alaska Airlines just canceled our flight tomorrow morning to Maui. I'm guessing the issue is that the plane can't get to Los Angeles from wherever it is now (probably the Northeast). My wife is on the phone with Alaska trying to get us rebooked. We have a condo booked and that's non-refundable. So, any delay just shortens our stay on the island.

While on Maui, rent a convertible and take the drive along the Hana Coast. Fascinating drive, more so for the passenger than the driver though. ::woot::

Watch the sunrise from the top of the volcano, too. You’ll need jackets.

Yup, it is not our first time on Maui, I think this is our 5th trip there. When you live on the West Coast, getting to Hawaii is *normally* not a big deal - it is usually easier to get to Hawaii than it is to get to Florida.

Well, they did get us on a flight with another airline - of course our nice pre-selected seats are gone and now we're in the back. We're also now leaving at O'Dark:30 in the morning, so I guess I better try to get some sleep!

You are about on the same latitude as me in Pennsylvania. You should be seeing spring too as soon as that white stuff melts.
