A clean chicken house is a happy chicken house. Warm enought to throw the windows open.

Those are great pictures! If he's in the woods, that cat is used to people strolling by, he/she is relaxed for sure.
Along that line, I saw a post that showed some pictures of a turkey hunter that was jumped by a bobcat while he was trying to call in a bird. Appears he did a good enough job to fool the cat. He had claw marks on both sides of his face, just missed his eyes!

That kitty looks like it just ate a chicken. 🤭

Thanks Philip, the cats are pretty used to people being around. I would hate to tangle with one.

I agree with JP, that 2nd shot is exceptional. The facial expression in that pic actually reminds me of Bert Lahr as the Cowardly Lion.

That's great John, because chickens don't mess an area.😊
Are you getting many eggs and what are you feeding them?

Helene dropped some trees behind our barns that need working up. Couldn't get across the creek so my knife collecting neighbor and I built a bridge. He is a retired welder, and a very good one. That's him in the second pic. We leveled it up with boards before he welded the girders and bracing, then poured cement footers at each corner, and leveled the ramps. A few trim boards, and it will be finished. Now we both have access to a lot of wood on the mountain side in the future.
Edit: Forgot to mention ... the barn to the left in the first pic is an old tobacco barn. I built a deer hunting stand inside the back of it toward the mountain 12' up. Or, I may sit inside the other barn on a bucket in incognito mode. We cannot bait in TN, but I can plant rye and wheat.

It either snowed last night or the neighbors cottonwood tree is shedding.

Great pics, Tony, as the oldtimers used to say, that thing is built "hell for stout". Your Tacoma picture looks like it belongs in one of those slick brochures that you find in the car dealership showrooms.

No trophy buck here, and not even a big doe, I just kinda liked this picture that I took earlier while driving a backroad.

Thank you Ike ::handshake:: The Tacoma was a one owner purchase the wife and I made about 10 years ago. It did look showroom then. Best vehicle we ever bought. ::super_happy:: It is our work truck and our only truck ... have picked up and delivered a lot of furniture with it, even with the small bed. It currently has over 327,000 miles, going strong and not using oil.

Great pic Ike! ::tu:: I just got permission to hunt 330 acres high up the mountain on the TN/NC line. Last year, two 40+ acres properties I had been hunting were lost due to a land sale, and the other, the people are moving up from Florida this year to build their home. Thought I was gonna have to hunt public only this season, but WOW, what a blessing from my friend! We went up there yesterday, and it looks awesome! Next time we go up there, I will take some pics.
