Umm... Dan, I don't think those Gerbers were around during the 1st World War, are you sure that was what the Navy was using then?

THANKS T.F I always have liked this pattern, I picked up a nice Case folding hunter a few weeks ago, but there is still space in my knife box sooo I'll stuff another one in there as long as I can fit one more

I never had a knife of multi-tool issued to me. Every one I used while in the service (2000-2006) was bought with my own money.

Three fixed blades I have acquired from Roland in the last while. Top to bottom: a small Bob Dozier, Ric Menefee and a Joe Calton. I think the Joe Calton is going to become my new favourite deer knife.

Thanks Dan! Where you ever stationed in San Diego? The Army was issuing a Gerber tool with a black coating on it in the 2010's, I am not sure if they still are, maybe with some time in the Inactive Reserves (Also known as an Individual Ready Reserve... IRR) one could score a military issues Gerber out of the deal... Or it might be easier to head to a flea market (try and stay ahead of FFF) and find one for about $15...

Sure was. USS Lake Champlain and USS Peleliu were both homeported out of Naval Station San Diego when I was attached to them. I earned two Sea Service Deployment ribbons aboard Peleliu.

Dave, That is a very good looking Stag handled 65 and a pre 64 at that!

Added another to my Camillus 72 Clone family yesterday. It is a Ulster 63. Has the same frame and blade combination as the Camillus 72. The handles on this one I call Strawberry because of the color & jig pattern, and may be delrin or whatever composite material Ulster used. It has nickle silver bolsters, oval shield, and brass liners. The blades have some slight wear and scratches, but are full and have great snap. The coping blade seems to be the only one that has had a little abuse. The tang stamp on the Clip Blade is ULSTER over USA. All I've done is flush it with some WD40, wipe her down, blow with compressed air and oil the joints.

I found this one under the seat of an old Car in Woodville, Fl. I can't make out the tang stamp. Any help with I.D. and value would be appreciated.

Good looking Kershaw Chris. Kiwi has a couple different thickness of the old gold and brown boot laces. You may swing by wallyworld the next time your out, new ones will be still tightly wound.
