Looks like a homerun from here Jethro.
Congrats on that pair's acquisition.
Feel free J.R., glad you like it.
I reshaped it some more trying
to make it less top heavy. It has
now aged so less color contrast.
Here's the 49w trio on same pedestal
after the top was trimmed.
And the peanuts closed if you like that
mo' better than blades open shot.

Is the back of the tang stamped Solingen or Nippon Rostferi or Japan?
Company was started in 1970
Sold in 1985 and some knives were then made in Japan.

Outlaw that tang marking was first used in 1970 and is still being used today. I would think the knife looks like a lmid 70's to early 80's . JMO
Nice looking knife.

WM. Jessop & Sons / Sheffield. Shame that it has a broken blade. Does have tweezers built into the handle and a spring loaded blade underneath. Has "cigar molde" stamped on back of blade. Anyone have any idea of value on this? I have never seen one like it.

Nice finds, Jethro!
Here's a Craftsman like yours that my father-in-law bought for my son the year he was born, 1977.

Nice finds guys!
I found a couple at auction yesterday that I couldn't pass up. The first is a C. Platts & Son 3 blade gunstock with German made blades, main blade swedge and long pulls, maybe green bone. Wish I knew the length.

The second is an 1992 Antique Christmas Case Classic barndoor hinge toothpick, 1 of 250 with box and papers.
Can't wait until these arrive!

My two most interesting finds in awhile. A three bladed Remington and a Two blade Cattagarus (my first!

). They are in fair condition too. The bottom one is a nice Saynor grafting/budding knife in Ivory that a good friend gave me today after finding it at a flea market for a real bargain.
