Found this one last week and decided to try and save it. Wish I had taken a (before) picture. Completely rusted shut! Soaked in GM rust penetrant for a day(worried about damaging tge cel handles) and had to use pliers & ascrewdriver to open thd blades! Had to re-profile the sheepfoot blade tip. Blades are pretty full but heavily pitted. Sharpened nicely. Will be my EDC for awhile. BTW; it was FREE!

And you got it for a great price. I pretty much quit buying knives because of inflation and the bad economy. It’s gotten insane on how much prices have risen.

I am using vacation days this week, so today I drove over an hour away to a Flea Market in North GA and made some decent pickups.

These first two were in a toolbox that I purchased, which was half full of old tools and parts. The Klenk looks unused, and is probably worth what I paid for the whole tool box.

I will probably just clean up the Hobo. The only problem with it is a broken corkscrew and rusty blades. They are klunky and not worth the effort to repair, but the old bones are in perfect condition and have aged well.
The Old Timer will get the works, and the Case will go into EDC rotation.

That Main Blade, reminds me of a Camillus made knife.

Found these at a local yard sale today for 50 cents apiece. No manufacturer's name but made in Taiwan.

I picked up a vintage 1979 Japanese-made Taylor Cutlery Bear Creek Shark today.

The blade is scratched, and both handles have pin cracks. I will probably clean it up and re-handle it at some time in the future. I just like the design and have wanted one for a while, and this one was inexpensive.
After handling it, I was surprised that it appears to have 3 "halfstops" on it. I suppose that would technically be "1/4 stop, 1/2 stop, & 3/4 stops".

It feels odd when opening and closing the knife because of it. Still, it is a unique design that feels good in the pocket and good in the hand, and was made with the high quality that you expect from these Japanese knives.

Found this tiny little guy in a box in the attic, no markings on the blade, but a cool little mini knife just the same. I cleaned it up, gave it a rub down with some mineral oil. Almost too small to be of much use, but I like it anyways.

My knife budget is completely blown for the month, yet I DIDN'T DO IT!
My wife spotted several pocket knives at a yard sale today, bought several, then brought them to me at my Dad's place (I was over at his shop, working on knives for the first time in a month).
After 33 years of marriage, this act by her has convinced me to keep her!

The Kutmaster main blade was badly tipped and the shield was missing, but I had it cleaned and repaired quickly. The 3 US Schrades were all in decent shape, and the Frontier is like new and has never been sharpened.

It's a wood handle Hoffritz, Italy with a tiny crinkle in the tip (could be sharpened out). Will gladly make you a deal..
