You might want to consider having one of our several knife mechanics put some new covers on the knife. Spiff it up a bit. Sure not going to hurt the value.

Don't know if it could handle that , if you look at the plastic scales it is cracks all over them both sides. I could spin the handles and clean the outside liners, then ultragel lock tight super glued them back. I was very lucky the handles didn't fall apart......but they didn't till one little piece popped when clamping it together, got it back in place ::ds:: Might just might just make some handles

That sounds like a good plan Jerry, doesn't matter how long it takes and they are probably all backed up with work. ::hmm::

A gentleman at church knows I like pocket knives and gave me this little Colonial Prov. USA stockman today. Love it when a surprise comes my way. Has Patent 3,317,996 on it as well. He said he found it in a jar of nuts and bolts and thought i might like it. I do and appreciate his kindness! :)

Good looking Forest Master Dogg, Those are solid knives with good blade steel, yours looks like it's in pretty good shape, can't go wrong for 2 bucks.

Woodwalker that was mighty thoughtful of your friend to gift you that little Colonial. The handles on it remind me of a little Anvil brand stockman that I have, which was also made by Colonial.

Played a little show in Denton, MD with an old friend of mine from Gatchellville ,PA. He brought me this BROCH & Co, NY , 2-1/2" , "shadow" pen. It's in near-mint condition, un-resharpened and shiny. Eleven tiny stars, possibly silver, inlaid in the mark side scale. The pile side scale looks like ivory but the mark side has remains of a few very small capillaries so I'm guessing it's white bone on both sides. Levine says Broch was an importer of German knives c.1885. That's pre-tariff so it's not marked "Germany". First one I've ever seen or heard of. If anyone has any more info on BROCH & Co. I'd appreciate hearing it. Thanks, J.O'.

I have to wonder if it left the factory that way? Regardless, it's a very neat and interesting old knife! ::tu::

Thanks Dan.. Maybe a jeweler's specialty item. They are very evenly done. Can't find much on the BROCH Co. other than an importer ?? I don't own a Goins so....... J.O'.

Oh, I don't know. I think you did pretty good. Depends on what you're using for a ruler. (what you're comparing it to)

Not too shabby I say. Those Buck Wenger's aren't real common.
What is the little feller beside it, with the bail ??

Another great group! Just curious here: the one Copperhead looks like a 1980, but what is the other one?
