IKCO is Imperial Knife Company.
Thank you sir! I thought Imperial made most of those type of knives. When I looked at the initials that entered my mind but I didn't want to make any assumptions.

Found an interesting little folder at Lowe's today (actually, last week on the website while planning today's trip).

At $25, I figured it was worth a try as a work knife, as I prefer the 4" or under frame size. I think it is just as well made as an entry level CRKT or Kershaw. Only a three-year warranty compared to the lifetime on those, however.

I thought the handles were aluminum, but no, they are steel. I do not know why they went with steel handles on BOTH this one and the bigger AXIS lock tanto blade model. It more than doubles the weight. Fiber-reinforced nylon plastic or G-10 would've been better.

I found this no namer in the bottom of my dads gun cabinet. No idea who made it or what country it came from. Definitely got blades! ::nod::

It was made in Japan. I have seen a couple of different sizes of these. They are kind of clunky in their design, but solid. Cool knife!

Thanks reverand, I kinda thought Asian but you never know. The pins are not hammered down very well at all but the blades open and close very good. I’ll have to clean er up a bit.

Nice finds, guys! I’m very envious of all of you guys and your great finds. No flea markets near me - difficult area here to find knives. The best I can do is check the supply of Case knives at a couple of hardware stores - which ain’t huge! I visit my brother in Sevierville, TN, a couple of times a year and we hit the flea markets there, but it seems dealers want to charge the price of a new knife for their used and sometimes poor condition knives. Hope y’all are getting good deals! Maybe I’m just cheap! :wink:

I'm very surprised Tim, I would have thought your neck of the woods would have tons of flea market type places. I know you have a lot of antique stores all over the state and that's where I find lots of knives. You're right about the prices and I turned down several yesterday because they were priced at or above normal retail. If they were 50 year old knives in excellent condition that would be different but these were less than 10 years old. I guess we all look at it in different ways. Take care... :D

I have some good finds now and then, but ::skeptic:: the big problem for me is at the flea market there is a HOARD of buyers/pickers/resellers that swarm all over the place trying to root out any knife in any space. Somedays there are more buyers than used pocketknives in the entire market. The 2nd problem is everyone with a damn "smart" phone thinks their old junker is a TOP $ 💵💰💰💰💵 one-of-a-kind eBay treasure ::facepalm:: If I hear "I looked it up on Flea-Bay" one more time :x :x......
