Never seen a GEC #78 Barlow before and I like it. Sawcut paper micarta they call Richlite. I really like the bolster and the spring terminus maximus on the pen blade side.

I got this Bear & Son Sheep's foot Barlow in smooth white bone a while back and a red jigged bone Barlow as well. :D I am very happy with them ::nod::
Those all look great! Seems they step up the fit & finish on the barlows. Might have to get a couple more.
I almost got another BS red bone Barlow last week.... but I held off for an extra day and it went off sale ... :x ..... Maybe that is a good thing ... ::shrug:: I've T.M.K. already!!! .... ::facepalm::

Man. Looks great to me, and that's not even capturing it? If you capture any more of that I'm gonna have to sit down and wipe the drool off my chin. And floor. ::uc::

“Something extra sweet” indeed. I’ve seen abalone Barlows from several manufacturers and none even come close to this Bear & Son.

Those are nice Tim. I have one of those black ones that came with white bone handles and Muskrat Man customized it with some Amboynia wood that I had. Turned out beautiful and I use it almost every day. Holds a nice edge and resharpens fairly easily. I’m sure you will be happy with both of those,

That abalone barlow above is beautiful. One pattern that Bear has done well over the years is the barlow pattern.

Maybe I should try to clean it up a little better?

I tried to post this yesterday, Tim, but the system was having problems so I never did, but I will now.
I really like your black Boker, in fact I got a copy awhile back and I am more than happy with it. It's such a simple yet solid knife that came at a reasonable price. I've been giving thought to collecting that pattern in all the other colors, but since I'm attempting to buy much less and just enjoy what I already have, I haven't acted on my thoughts. I have faith in me to stand my ground, but time will tell.
That's some fine looking stag on your 2-blader, too. ::tu::

Nothing wrong with that barlow, shows its age well, I carry one very similar with a clip blade, takes a scary sharp edge.
